Xavier Institute of Management gets state of the art Audio System
Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB), has taken a significant leap forward in providing an exceptional experience to its students and visitors by investing in the largest state-of-the-art auditorium in East India. With a massive seating capacity of 5,000, this new auditorium is designed to host a wide range of events, from live performances to cultural programs, college functions, and more. To match its grandeur and ensure an unforgettable auditory experience, XIMB has installed an advanced audio system powered by Meyer Sound solutions, supplied by Sun Infonet Private Limited.
The inauguration day of the auditorium saw a highly positive reception of the new space, with Fr. George Fernandes, Chief Administrative Officer at XIM University, sharing his satisfaction with the investment. He mentioned that many attendees had complimented the exceptional audio quality, emphasizing that XIMB had indeed made the right choice in selecting the best audio system available. "We realized we have invested into the best system we can have," Fernandes remarked.
The auditorium’s main PA system consists of eight LEOPARD compact linear line array loudspeakers and three 900-LFC compact low-frequency control elements on each side of the stage. This combination ensures optimal sound coverage across the entire seating area. Additionally, four ULTRA-X20 compact wide-coverage loudspeakers serve as stage fills to cover the VIP area, offering clarity and presence for the most important attendees.
Given the auditorium's potential for hosting large-scale performances with multiple artists on stage, six MJF-208 high-power stage monitors were provided to deliver powerful and clear monitoring for the performers. These monitors ensure that artists can hear themselves and their surroundings clearly, even during dynamic performances.
To ensure even audio coverage across all seating areas, seven additional ULTRA-X20 loudspeakers were strategically placed as fills in the upper and lower balconies. This setup guarantees that every seat, from the front row to the back balconies, experiences rich, immersive sound.
Managing the entire audio system is the Galileo GALAXY Network Platform, a high-performance processing platform used to control and optimize the system's audio performance. The GALAXY platform provides precise control and monitoring, ensuring that the system performs at its best during every event.
With Meyer Sound’s cutting-edge technology in place, XIMB's new auditorium is set to become a premier destination for world-class events, offering unparalleled sound quality and an immersive experience for all attendees. This investment in top-tier audio solutions not only enhances the overall ambiance of the auditorium but also solidifies XIMB’s commitment to providing the best facilities for its students and guests.
