Sun Infonet & Friends of Shiva executes fest with Meyer Sound System
Friends of Shiva, the award-winning rental company based in East India, has taken a bold step in upgrading its sound system inventory with the addition of Meyer Sound’s PANTHER large-format linear line array loudspeakers and the 2100-LFC low-frequency control element. Known for their expertise and deep regional insight, Friends of Shiva provides top-tier sound solutions across West Bengal, North East India, Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa, and North Bengal. This investment is a significant leap forward in their quest to deliver exceptional audio experiences for live events across India.
In their pursuit of cutting-edge audio technology, Friends of Shiva collaborated with Sun Infonet, Meyer Sound’s trusted distributor in Delhi, to integrate the PANTHER and 2100-LFC into their inventory. The first major deployment of the new system was at the Coca-Cola Festival 2023 Season 2, held in Kolkata in November. The star-studded event featured top performances from artists and bands including Amit Trivedi, Lakkhichhara, Antara Nandy, Sahatay and Dindun, Fossils & Friends, Euphoria, Coke Studio Bangla, and When Chai Met Toast.
For this high-profile festival, Friends of Shiva utilized a powerful setup consisting of 24 PANTHER loudspeakers, 16 2100-LFC control elements, and 2 Galileo GALAXY 816 Network Platforms. The result was a crystal-clear, dynamic, and impactful sound experience that captivated audiences throughout the event.
“The Meyer Sound PANTHER system, with its outstanding output of over 150 dB from a compact cabinet, was the perfect choice for this large-format line array setup,” said Kyle Mukherjee, Director of Friends of Shiva. “The system delivered exceptional linearity and headroom, ensuring flawless sound across the venue. Even at 115 dB C at the console, the system produced an incredible sound that was clear and vibrant, even from 300 feet at the back of the venue.”
By integrating Meyer Sound’s PANTHER and 2100-LFC systems, Friends of Shiva not only elevated the sound quality at the Coca-Cola Festival but also reinforced its reputation as a premier provider of live audio solutions across the region. This collaboration exemplifies their commitment to staying ahead of industry trends and continuously raising the bar for live sound production in India.
