Meyer Sound & Sun Infonet orchestrats a educational event
In the bustling heart of Mumbai, at the Nesco Centre in Goregaon, Meyer Sound, in partnership with Sun Infonet, hosted an exclusive three-day educational event entitled “Listen, Lunch and Learn – Portable System Deployment.” This initiative aimed to showcase Meyer Sound's state-of-the-art audio solutions to industry professionals while providing in-depth training to engineers and technicians for deploying these advanced systems in real-world scenarios.
The event drew a specialized audience, including system integrators, consultants, design engineers, and audio professionals, all eager to explore the latest innovations in sound technology. Meyer Sound demonstrated its cutting-edge products, including the ULTRA-X20 compact wide-coverage loudspeakers, the USW-112P compact subwoofers, and the industry-first Milan-certified portable PA loudspeakers. The event also featured Meyer Sound’s “Power Couples,” such as the ULTRA-X40 loudspeakers paired with 900-LFC low-frequency control elements, as well as the LINA very compact linear line array loudspeakers and the 2100-LFC low-frequency control elements. These systems were complemented by the spatial sound design tool, Spacemap Go, providing a holistic audio experience.
One of the highlights of the event was a post-lunch session led by Meyer Sound’s Technical Services Manager for Latin America, Oscar Barrientos. He conducted an in-depth training on the Meyer Sound Precision Toolset, a crucial tool for predicting, driving, and monitoring audio systems.
A dedicated day was set aside for “Portable System Deployment Fundamentals,” with Oscar Barrientos once again leading the session. He covered essential topics such as networked audio, sound system monitoring, and the best practices for deploying portable live sound systems accurately and efficiently.
Throughout the event, participants gained hands-on experience with Meyer Sound’s hardware and software tools, including the MAPP 3D System Design Tool, Galileo GALAXY Network Platform, and Compass Control Software. The focus was on ensuring that attendees understood the entire system deployment process, from design to final verification.
By the end of the two-day symposium, attendees expressed their gratitude to Meyer Sound and Sun Infonet for such a comprehensive and insightful experience. The success of this event has paved the way for future educational initiatives, with plans already underway to replicate this event in Bangalore. This collaboration marks a significant step in advancing the region’s live audio capabilities and creating a community of well-trained professionals ready to deploy the best in audio technology.
