The Science of Sound, Simplified: Sun Infonet Brings Global Training to India with Mauricio Magu Ramirez
Sun Infonet is known for being the largest distributor of high-end audio equipment in India, but did you know that in addition to that, we also conduct training programs? One such training program was hosted in the last week of May this year, where we invited Mauricio Magu Ramirez, Senior Technical Seminar Instructor, Meyer Sound. The training that took place at the Nesco Exhibition Center in Mumbai, was curated specifically to deliver hands-on training in portable system deployment and low-frequency control, to audio professionals.
Overview of the Training
The session hosted about 100 audio professionals from different parts of the country. It drew people from different spectrums of the audio industry like system integrators, audio engineers, AV consultants and channel partners. While the training lasted 3 days, the initial 2 days were dedicated to portable system deployment, which covered system architecture, speaker positioning, rigging, cable management, real-time troubleshooting and site setup. The last and final day of the training was centered around low-frequency control. It mainly focused on training the audiences on managing bass behavior, control phase coherence, align subwoofers, and optimize low-end performance within different spaces.
Technical & Practical Learning
Drawing on Meyer Sound’s industry-leading practices, Mauricio Magu Ramirez led participants through: Designing portable systems built for flexibility and speed Using Meyer Sound’s predictive tools and measurement software for setup calibration. Implementing low-frequency control: placement, DSP tuning, and timing Hands-on demos and real-world scenarios that showcased crowd noise impact, delay alignment, and array coherence. The initial training included more theory but it did shift towards practical application.
